ABOUT
The Nanaimo Casual Hockey League was developed by Parks, Recreation and Culture of Nanaimo. The main purpose of the league was to provide adult males, with very little hockey experience, an opportunity to play organized hockey. The overwhelming interest in this program resulted in the creation of 10 teams. Many players that had been inactive in the sport of hockey since childhood petitioned the organizers for inclusion. The NCHL now consists of players of novice and intermediate ability. Since its inception the NCHL has grown to 12 teams and continues to grow every year.
