NEW NCHL PLAYERS Players - Wait List



This section is for new players and spares that wish to join the NCHL. Please read the following sections carefully. All players must read the players agreement and accept the terms prior to registration.

Spares are assigned to teams based upon their ability. Players that do not get a spot as spares will be placed on a wait list and contacted when a position is available.

Spares are charged $35.00 for CARHA insurance and pay $10.00 per game.

If a player is injured or withdraws from the NCHL, that spot is offered to the spare player of equal or lesser skill. Spares are considered part of the NCHL and will be allowed to register as returning players in the next season.

If you have ever played at the WCHL/BCHL/University & College Varsity level of hockey please do not proceed any further. The NCHL is a developmental non-competitive league that excludes players of this caliber.
 
The NCHL also excludes any players who play or spare on the NOHL Recreational Division. NOHL players and spares from 35+, 45+, and 55+ may request to be spares in the NCHL.

Full-Time registered players/goalies from other leagues, such as the NOHL, are not eligible to hold a full-time roster position in the NCHL.
 
Completion and submission of a NCHL New Player Enrollment Form does not imply acceptance or registration in the NCHL.



PLAYER CONTRACT

  • I acknowledge that the Nanaimo Casual Hockey League is intended to have new players learn the game of hockey and develop skills. The NCHL will also provide an opportunity for more experienced players to role model hockey skills through example.
  • I will respect the rules of the game. I will respect my opponents. I will respect the officials and their decisions. I will maintain my self-control at all times.
  • I know that foul language towards team-mates, coaches, officials or opponents is not acceptable and may result in my suspension from the league.
  • I am on a team and will be a team player. I will respect my team-mates. I will not be critical of my team-mates and never discuss team-mates abilities except to encourage good play.
  • I will acknowledge all good plays and performances - those of both my team and of my opponents.
  • FUN, learning and encouraging better play is the philosophy of this team. Winning is not what this team is about!
  • I will not permit the intimidation of any player either by word or action. I understand and agree that intimidation by word or deed may result in my suspension from the league. I understand and accept that fighting is a automatic year suspension and may result in a ban for life from the NCHL. I will not tolerate unacceptable conduct towards officials, other players or myself. I will report such incidents to the executive.
  • I understand that at anytime during the regular or off season that the executive may review my conduct and may revoke my privilege to participate in the NCHL . I also understand that breaching the players contract may result in my suspension or dismissal from the NCHL.
  • By selecting agree I acknowledge that I have read the above conditions of registration and will abide by all of the above statements and conditions.
